Maria’s Learning Centre

By enrolling in classes at Maria’s Learning Centre, you are consenting to the terms and conditions outlined below. Please familiarise yourself with the details provided.

Health and Safety

Ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for all children is our priority. We maintain low teacher-student ratios and continually assess to mitigate potential risks.

We request your cooperation in the following:

– Providing advance notice if someone other than yourself will be picking up or dropping off your child.

– Ensuring that your child is accompanied by an adult during drop-off and pick-up.

– Prohibiting the sharing of food or drinks during breaks, with the exception of water.

– Notifying us of any medical conditions or severe allergies your child may have.

– Keeping your child at home if they display cold or flu symptoms. Parents will be contacted for immediate pick-up if symptoms occur during class.

– Ensuring that your child follows instructions and behaves appropriately to maintain a safe and clean environment for all students.

Medical Emergencies

Parents/guardians are responsible for informing us of any existing medical conditions or allergies their child may have on the intake form when the child is enrolled. In the event of an accident or emergency, first aid will be administered, and if necessary, emergency services will be contacted. All associated costs will be the responsibility of the parent(s).

Enrollment Requirements

All classes are contingent upon meeting minimum enrolment requirements, which constitute at least 60% of the advertised class size. In the event that these minimum numbers are not met, some classes may be subject to cancellation. Maria’s learning Centre reserves the right to cancel any classes if minimum enrollment thresholds are not achieved. Should a class be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment after payment has been made, a full refund will be issued.

Re-Enrollment

While priority is given to existing students, re-enrollment and timely payment for the next term is necessary to guarantee your spot in the same class. This ensures fairness and consistency for all customers and facilitates program planning.

Payment

All class bookings for the term must be paid in full BEFORE the term begins. No student will be allowed to attend a tutoring session unless payment has been made in full. Failure to make payment on time will result in your place being offered to the next student on our waitlist.

Class Cancellations

In the unlikely event that a class needs to be cancelled by Maria’s Learning Centre due to staff illness or injury, parents/guardians will be given as much notice as possible, ideally 24 hours. You will have the option to schedule a makeup session during the same term or a refund will be processed.

Withdrawal From Programme

Please be aware that once enrolled the fee for the term is non-refundable, except in cases where another child on the waiting list is able to take over the newly vacated seat.. Should your circumstances warrant exceptional consideration, please reach out to us, and we will endeavour to accommodate your request.

Missed Lessons

Missed classes due to personal reasons, such as travel, sports, or birthday parties, are non-refundable and cannot be made up. You will have the option to schedule a makeup session during the same term. If enrolled in two or more classes, they are eligible for two sickness-related makeups. Makeup lessons are subject to availability and will be arranged at the discretion of Maria’s Learning Centre.

Start/Finish Times

Please adhere to the specified start and finish times for each class. We are unable to supervise children beyond these times. A 5-minute drop-off and pick-up window is provided, after which a fee of $20 will be charged for every 30 minutes the parent or caregiver is late picking up their child.

Communication

Maria’s Learning Centre will endeavour to respond to all communications within 24 hours Monday through Friday. Response times may vary Saturday & Sunday.
